contact lens servicesThe initial medical eye examination does not include contact lens fitting and evaluation. These are separate services and are often not covered by insurance. Canaan Vision Center offers all brands of contact lenses specializing in daily disposables and multifocal designs. Patients with astigmatism are always welcome to try specially designed lenses.

CHILDREN'S VISIONProper Vision Development in children is essential for success in school. Information received through the visual system must be seen clearly and properly processed to be understood. Canaan Vision Center evaluates all of these processes and prescribes necessary treatment. These treatments can be as simple as an eyeglass prescription or more complex as in Syntonic Light Therapy and Vision Therapy.

VISION THERAPYCanaan Vision Center diagnoses and treats many types of vision problems. Vision Therapy is often used in conjunction with syntonic light therapy to treat focusing disorders, poor tracking and convergence of the eyes while reading. A Vision Therapy Evaluation is a separate service from the medical eye exam and is often not covered by insurance.

Syntonics light therapyUsing visible light, the body's Autonomic Nervous System can be reset and balanced. Many visual tracking disorders, like Convergence Insufficiency, can be treated using Syntonic Light Therapy. These disorders often cause reading problems for school age children.
